Green Valley Resort

My wife and I stayed here in June of 2023 for just a weekend getaway. We absolutely LOVED it! Dale and Jennifer are fabulous hosts! They made you feel so at home and were such hard workers but always had time for you! The lake is small and no public access which we loved and fishing was great! We caught tons of crappies a few walleye and just a good mix. I think we the only thing we didn't catch was a pike. Since we were there for a short time we fished until dark. Dale and Jennifer offered us popcorn down at the family room, it sounded like they do it every night. Well we missed it because we fished so late, but got back to our cabin and there were 2 fresh bags sitting on our table. It was a great snack as we both wanted something to snack on. That's so small to do, but goes above and beyond! The area is great for fun stuff to do as well, and pretty close, but not to close. These guys have done SO much work and put A LOT of $$$ in fixing this resort up. Our cabin was very comfortable, and had all new beds, bedding, pillows and everything else we needed. We can't wait to go back and see what else they have done! I'm embarrassed we forgot to post this sooner, but saw your New Years post and sparked our memories. We will definitely go back and would recommend everything.....well except Pizza Ranch in Park Rapids.....but that's for another review. Thanks Dale and Jennifer for your hospitality!!

Excellent experience, I booked a cabin for my parents two days beforehand over the busiest week of the summer, 4th of July. Dale was very accommodating to answer my questions over the phone. Both Dale and Jennifer greeted us as though we were old friends upon arrival. The cabin had been upgraded and recently refreshed. Everything was in working order and still had that ole lake cabin charm. He made it a point to ensure we had what we needed. We rented a pontoon for the day and it was fully functional and a blast for my two young kids to enjoy swimming and diving into the lake. The resort has a great playground/sandbox/kid play area. Dale made popcorn in the afternoon and gave my 3 and 5 yr old kids a bag each for the boat! He and his wife have put a lot of work to keep the resort humming along, upkeep and fixing the cabins comfortably, providing the quintessential lake country hospitality, while maintaining that old school lake cabin charm!!!! My highest recommendation for Green Valley Resort and Dale/Jennifer!!!!! Thanks for an awesome anniversary lake exp. for my parents!

Owners were super nice! Clean campsites. Fire ring and picnic table at every site. Was a fun time! Right on the lake!

We were in need of a gentle vacation, and this has been perfect. It's a smaller resort on a smaller lake, so much quieter than other places we've been. The cabins are cozy and well maintained, as is the site. There are things to do, and good restaurants nearby, if you want. The owners, Jennifer and Dale, are fantastic hosts. We will book for next year.

This place is very charming and its a traditional fishing resort. Clean safe cabins beautiful location each cabin has firepit and grill. I stayed in cabin 7, seemed very good condition, has AC and ceilings fans in each room. I like that it’s kinda off to the side. Owners are amazing they are just cool people very kind, i felt very comfortable and welcome. They were very accommodating to all my needs. You will love this place. Property very well maintained owners working sun up to sun down. Lake is beautiful. Close to town cute coffee shop in nevis. Bring ur own towels and soap and stuff. Oh yeah and they have wifi which was pretty sweet

Nice, quiet resort with cabins and seasonal RV sites. Also 2 tenting sites at the top of the hill, with level ground including electric and water spouts. The new owners are FANTASTIC! Very helpful and friendly. Ice, firewood and pizza available to purchase at the lodge along with cans of soda and some small items in case you forgot something. They offer boat slips, canoes and kayaks to use, paddle boat. I will definitely be going here again!

WOW! Kudos to you, Dale & Jennifer for all of the improvements to the resort. You two are worker bees who obviously love what you're doing. Right off the bat I noticed how super clean our cabin was compared to our previous stays. You folks could not be more genuinely friendly. We had such a great time that we smiled all the way home! Resort has a boat launch. Boats and outboard motors are available to rent. Paddle boats and canoes don't need to be rented. Very affordable prices. Rustic cabins. Green Valley Resort is close to Nevis and the Heartland Bike Trail. Prices are very affordable to middle class families. There is also Itasca State Park with the Mississippi Headwaters and logging camp nearby. There is something for everyone here.

Just spent a family filled week at Green Valley. We rented 2 cabins for the 10 of us. The cabins were fresh and clean (don't know how they get their sheets so white!) The beds seemed new, appliances too. We also rented the pontoon, we fished on it morning, noon, and night! The owners were friendly and helpful. The lodge was a great place to meet and hang out. The owners really make this place special. The cabins are definitely older and do not come with towels, paper towels or soap so I'm glad we knew that going in. Missed having a beach but the kids enjoyed the motorized paddle boat and zooming around the lake to fish. Cute coffee shop about a mile away in Nevis and Park Rapids isn't too far for more options.
